Birthday Wish
Have you tried out Washi Tape yet? This was my first time experimenting with it! You just place it on the card stock and rip it to your desired length...easy peasy:) The letters were die cut with a retired letters die set. I used the sketch from CAS(E) this Sketch #38.

Soda Pop Bottle
This soda pop bottle is in the Cycle Celebration set. Isn't it cute?!? I put crystal effects on the "pop" which may be hard to see in the picture. The colors are Strawberry Slush and Coastal Cabana...two new in-colors. The die from the label is from Chalk Talk Framelits. The sketch is from Just Add Ink #175.

Bicycle Card #1
I inked up some new stamps! The Cycle Celebration set is a fun one:) The cards below are basically the same, with minor changes on each of them as I couldn't decide what I liked best. So, I'm sharing all three with you. The die is from the Chalk Talk framelits. The sketch is from Freshly Made Sketches #96.

Embossing Folder Difference!
I made the bottom card back in August and loved it. When I got the Honeycomb Embossing Folder, I decided I would add that to the butterfly card and see how I liked it. The result......I couldn't believe what a difference using an embossing folder on the card. I loved it even more! What do you think?
Happy Thursday! One more work day and then the weekend:)
In-between games this weekend, my time will be spent making valentines. Noah wants the s'more valentines for his class and Carter wants the iPod valentines for his. And, they both need boxes. Last year I made Lily a Wheaties box featuring her, so this year it is Noah's turn to get one. If I remember to take pics, I'll post the craft goodies:) I know it is only Thursday, but I have my list already made for the weekend!

Dreams
This card was one my stamp club made in January. The Cloudy Day Embossing folder was used on the white card stock and then butterflies were punched out using the butterfly punch and the small butterfly punch. I stamped dreams on white card stock and then punched it out with the word window punch. This card would work for a graduation card or change the sentiment for any occasion. With the rainbow butterflies, it would brighten someone's day!

Summer Starfruit
I created this card for a color challenge, but I was too late to link it up. I thought I would still share it with you. I'm really liking the summer starfruit color. It seems to be everywhere in the stores. I bought pillows for our couches in this color since I like it so much! And, Lily wants to redo her room using this color.....we will see if I'll tackle that project.
The card is die cut with the square scallop die. The image is from the Just Believe stamp set. I stamped the butterflies on tempting turquoise and summer starfruit and then punched them out with the small butterfly punch. I added summer starfruit ribbon at the top.

Family
No card today, but I thought I'd share a few pictures of my kiddos playing b-ball. If you are wondering why Noah is not in any of them, it is because he is playing indoor soccer where there is a net in front of the stands, so I don't take any pics. He scored 4 goals in his last game! A proud mom and an excited boy:)

One Layout, Three Cards
As I was coming up for cards for my stamp class/club, I made the above cards. They didn't make the "cut," but I like how just changing up the color scheme changes the "feel" of the cards. The top one is calming and the other two are fun:) The small butterfly punch was used to make the butterflies....I love that punch!
Personal Note/Update:
I know I've been slacking again on the blog! I've been having a hard time finding TIME to stamp, take pictures and post:( I even have things to post, but I just don't have the pictures taken:( On a personal note, I still do not have a voice! (For those of you who came to my Friday class) My family said it doesn't help when I have to talk to everyone at their sporting events and occasionally holler at the ref and Lily when she is playing:) I have subbed every day this week, so I feel bad for the students who have to listen to me! Onto the "finger" issues.....Carter smashed his finger with weights. It is looking better, but he will probably lose his fingernail. The tip of his finger is black and blue. It still hurts if he hits it on something. Lily jammed her finger at her game on Sunday. She is healing quickly and can almost bend it completely without it hurting! When she sits in class, she practices bending it further and further....she is doing her own physical therapy with it. That's it for our aches and pains!!! The good news is that the Gopher basketball team finally won!!!!!

Sale-a-bration Begins!
Today is the first day of sale-a-bration!!! This card uses the Pretty Petites set and Petite Curly Label punch from the sale-a-bration catalog. The birthday hat and butterfly are from the stamp set A Fitting Occasion. The designer paper is from the Sunshine & Sprinkles pack in the Spring Catalog.
I'm linking up to the Paper Craft Crew #25 Challenge found here. Okay, so when I just looked at the challenge, I realized I did not draw my sketch well, so it is a little different from the sketch given! I think it would look better if I would have checked the sketch given again before creating this!

Check back tomorrow for Valentine's Day Projects.

Masculine Birthday Banners
Last week I made a card with butterflies using this layout. This week the challenge was to use the same layout, but make a masculine card. So, I decided to make a card for my dad! This card is embossed with the Woodgrain Embossing folder. The designer paper was from the winter catalog which is no longer available. The stamp set is Memorable Moments. I like that you can personalize with this set. The label framelits were used to die cut the image and espresso layer behind it.
I'm linking this card up to Seize the Birthday #2 and The Friday Mashup #93.

Pinwheel Trio
Yes, I know....the Honeycomb Embossing Folder AGAIN! This card was made using the new pinwheel embossilit which makes it SO easy to make pinwheels. The sentiment is from Wishes Your Way stamp set in the Spring Catalog. I hope this card brightens your day!

Birthday Butterflies
Can you guess my new favorite embossing folders? Yep, the Honeycomb and Clouds embossing folders. I can't seem to stop using them! So, I used the BOTH on this card:) It may be hard to see, but the labels framelit is embossed with the cloud embossing folder. Another favorite of mine is the small butterfly punch. It is perfect for punching the small butterflies in Papillon Potpourri and layers with the big butterfly punch. The designer paper is from the Floral District pack.
I am home today with a sick kid, which means I have a day off:) So, I better quit playing with my stamps and get some cleaning and items on my "to-do" list done....not fun, but necessary.
I'm linking this card up to Seize the Birthday #1.

Patterns, Patterns
I made this card for a few different challenges. It is a birthday card for my daughter Lily who will be turning 11 in March. After looking at the challenges, I had a card in mind.....this didn't not turn out how I pictured it, but I think it works as long as you like patterns:) I wish I had tangerine with chevrons on it, but I had to use what I had.
Thanks for stopping by! I'm linking up to these challenges: Try Stampin' On Tuesday #100; Stampin' Royalty #158; The Friday Mashup #92.
Boy B-day Card
This card is a great card for a boy's birthday! It is simple, but I like the personalization of the number for how old they are turning. This card was made for my oldest son whose birthday is in May. I'm finally ahead on one thing! Our youngest son didn't even get a birthday card in November:(
The sketch for this card is from Freshly Made Sketches #68 which is found here and the color is from the challenge at ColorQ (cQc #171) found here.

Honeycomb Meets Pinwheel
I'm loving the new Spring and SAB items! The card layout is from The Friday Mashup #91, found here.
The Sycamore Street Designer Paper and Sycamore Street Button are SAB items. The Honeycomb embossing folder, saying from Wishes Your Way stamp set and Pinwheel die are from the Spring Catalog. The pinwheel was easy to make using the die:) You may see more pinwheels in the near future!

Atypical Color Scheme
Let me begin by saying that the Valentine Tickets are stamped in Rich Razzleberry. I always have a hard time capturing this color when taking a picture! This card is a Valentine's Day card, but it does not have any pink or red on it! Pool Party, Rich Razzleberry and Summer Starfruit were inspired by the designer paper. I don't think I would have put those colors together on my own:)
The sketch is from CCMC233. New items were used on this card. That's the Ticket stamp set from the Spring Catalog. Sycamore Street designer paper and a button from Sycamore Street Ribbon and Button Pack from the SAB catalog. Only 14 more days until SAB!!! I also used the Chevron Embossing Folder on the white.
Thanks for stopping by.....
Oh, Whale!
This card uses the sketch challenge at Freshly Made Sketches (FMS #67). The top of the card was embossed with the Cloudy Day Embossing Folder. I stamped the whale from the stamp set Oh, Whale! in Basic Gray and then used the Happy Whale Clearlits die to cut him out. The stars were die cut using the clearlit and then I added dazzling diamonds glitter to them. The designer paper is from the Sunshine & Sprinkles pack and the ribbon is striped organdy ribbon. All of the items used on this card can be found in the Spring SU! Catalog.
