Manhattan Flower Embossing Folder

These cards were made using the Manhattan Flower Embossing Folder and the Big Shot. The shimmer white was placed between the folder and then ran through the Big Shot to dry emboss the cardstock. It is a very technique with a "wow" factor! I also used the scallop oval punch and large oval punch.

B-day Present for 4 Year Old

There are a lot of pictures for today's post. I made these gifts for a 4 year old girl and placed all of them in the clear decorated paint can. It was so much fun!
The barretts were made with bobby pins and build-a-brads. The monogram notebook was made using a bind-it-all and the matching pen has microbeads and glitter on the barrel of it. I made a set of monogram note cards for her and packaged them in a bag that was held closed with a clothespin I decorated with designer paper. And the last gift was chap stick that I covered with designer paper. Yes, I went overboard on having everything match!

Teacher Gifts 3

This is the last of the teacher's gifts I made this year. This set of cards (6 total, 2 of each design)were made for a friend's son's teacher. I love this Raspberry Tart paper and am sad to see it retire along with Kiwi Kiss!

Teacher Gifts - Cards

Here is a set of cards that I made for our son's preschool teachers. I made two of each card and packaged in a card box. This is a layout that I have used before! I love it! It is clean and simple. The chocolate covered strawberry card and cherry card have crystal effects on the fruit to give them a clear embossed look and the orange has dazzling diamond glitter on it for a little extra pizzaz.

Teacher Gifts - Journal Jar

The summer has had a busy start! I'll be posting a couple of gifts I made for teachers the next couple of days. The first one is an idea that I got from Nichole Heady. It is a journal jar with journal prompts and a matching journal. The journal questions are all related to the teaching profession....why they chose teaching as a major, how has their teaching style changed over time, where did they go to college, etc. I ended up making 3 of these. The first one was for my son's Kindergarten teacher which I did not take a picture of before I gave it, the second was for my daughter's first grade teacher and I made one for a friend to give to her son's teacher. It is a unique gift and I hope it will be memorable for the teacher's and that they enjoy reflecting on their profession. We have been SO blessed with INSPIRATIONAL teachers for our children.
With encouragement from a friend, I'm in the process of making a journal jar for kids. I will post pictures when I get any done!
