Inspired by Others

I wanted to get this card posted yesterday, but it didn't happen! There has just been too much going on. I CASED this card from Heather Summers. You can see her card here. My heart was made from inking the Dot, Dot, Dot stamp in Craft White and then embossing it using White Embossing Powder. The clouds were punched using the Cup Cake punch out of white cardstock that I dry embossed using the Square Lattice embossing folder. The heart is hung on the Baker's Twine with a small clothespin. I stamped the sentiment and thought this card could be used for an anniversary card instead of a Valentine's Day card. I liked this card so much that I also made it using Pool Party.
If you are thinking that I have been busy doing taxes, well, that has NOT been the case! I haven't even started, and my husband gave me Saturday as my deadline! I'm itching to make a few cards, but since I will be subbing the next two days and be gone the next two nights, stamping time will probably not happen. I briefly mentioned an upcoming class in a previous post, and that class is on hold for now. My next class will be coming in the beginning of March.

Pink Pennants

Yes, this is my second post today! So, make sure you scroll down to see the other card I uploaded. The picture below from Stampin' Royalty, SR#110 is the inspiration for my card. I inked up the pennant stamp from the Pennant Parade stamp set using Pink Pirouette, Regal Rose and Rose Red Markers. After punching them out with the Pennant Punch, I adhered the pennants using Stampin' Dimensionals to the white polka-dot embossed cardstock. The sentiment was colored with the markers and stamped before embossing. Rose Red Grosgrain bows were added to the end of the pennants.

Navy Sympathy

The challenge at Hand Stamped Sentiments (HSSCC104) was to make a monochromatic card using blues. My card base is Night of Navy with Vanilla cardstock embossed with the Square Lattice Embossing Folder. Navy striped grosgrain ribbon was tied around the vanilla embossed panel. I stamped the image from Thoughts and Prayers in Night of Navy ink and then die cut it using the Label Framelits. The outside edge was sponged with Baja Breeze ink. I punched Baja Breeze and Marina Mist flowers using the flower punch from the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack. Pearls were added to the middle of the flowers. The sketch was from Stampin' Queens Sketch Challenge, SQSC25.

Thanks for looking!  I will be back later today with another card:)  It needs to be posted tonight for the challenge. The rest of the week may be sporadic with my posts as I need to work on taxes:( But, knowing me, I will put off the taxes and stamp instead!!!

Some old, some new...

My second post for the day! I'm making up for not being able to stamp or post at the end of last week! The sketch for the card can be found here at Mojo Monday, MOJO227. The card base is bashful blue with whisper white cardstock that is embossed using the Stripes embossing folder which is a SAB item. I used retired designer paper with cherries on it since it goes so well with the cherry stamp from Button Buddies. I inked up the stems of the cherries in Lucky Limeade and adhered the buttons. The stamp "just a little note" is from a retired hostess set from last year. Ruffled Limeade Ribbon is tied around the card.

Happy....

Quick post as I am off to a basketball game soon. This card is another clean and simple card. The colors used were from the color challenge #123 found at colorQ challenge. I cut strips of designer paper in 1/2" strips and die cut the h-a-p-p-y in basic gray cardstock.

Baroque Motifs

This card uses a stamp from the stamp set Baroque Motifs. I stamped it in Craft Vanilla on Eggplant Envy cardstock. Pearls were added to the middle. Scallops were made on the Sahara Sand cardstock using the Scallop Border Punch. I tied Vanilla Seam Binding around the panel and adhered it to Pool Party cardstock with dimensionals. The card size is 3x6. It is simple, but elegant.

The sketch is FTL 176 found on Clean & Simple and the colors used were from Create with Connie and Mary CCMC187.

3x3 Card

Yes, it's the kites again!  This card is similar to one that I have done in the past; however, this one is 3x3. I needed a quick card and this fit the bill!  It's hard to tell from the picture, but the clouds are embossed with the Lattice die.

Thanks for checking out my blog!  I hope to have news of a class soon. I have an idea....
