Challenge & Sneak Peek
I finally sat down and stamped for a challenge! It has been awhile....
This card uses the Honeycomb Embossing Folder and That's the Ticket Stamp Set which are both in the upcoming Spring Catalog! I cut out hexagons from various designer series papers. Since there is not a punch, I ran the designer paper through the Big Shot using the Honeycomb embossing folder and then cut out the hexagons by using the raised embossed edges as a guide for cutting.
The colors used for this card are from the cQc #169 which can be found here.

CASE
This is a complete CASE from Penny Smiley. The card uses the current Ronald McDonald set, Moving Forward. I loved the gray and yellow color combo, little flowers in the bike basket and of course the polka-dot paper. The pearls add just the perfect extra touch.

Fall Leaves
I know fall has past, but I wanted to show you this card since I didn't post it earlier in the season. This card uses the Wonderfall Stamp Set, the Woodgrain Texture Embossing Folder, and Autumn Accents Bigz Die. I was happy to see the die with leaves as the old leaf die had retired:)

Perfectly Preserved #2
Another card using the Perfectly Preserved Bundle. I used the framelit to cut the jar out of the Island Indigo card stock and then stamped on clear acetate with staz-on to make it look like a glass jar. The apple was stamped and then cut using the framelits....gotta love framelits!

Perfectly Preserved
When I saw the Perfectly Preserved set in the Holiday mini, I knew I had to get it since it had an image of sweet corn in it. And, as most of you know, a big part of our summer is selling sweetcorn!
This card uses the Perfectly Preserved Bundle along with the Bitty Banners and Bitty Banners Framelits. I love how the framelits cut the images in the Perfectly Preserved stamp set.

Merry Christmas!
This year I "cheated" on our Christmas! Instead of handstamping each of them, I created them using Stampin' Up!'s My Digital Studio. It worked great, and I love the outcome. Have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Secret Santa
Lily and her friends decided to have Secret Santas, so guess who gets to help come up with the gifts... yes, me:) We have been having fun. Luckily, the friend she is giving gifts to is a "newer" friend and does not know that I am a stamper:)
This is one of the gifts Lily gave her:

The box is made from the Matchbox Die (which is retired). Three chapsticks fit in it perfectly!
Do you have gifts made for those on your list?

Christmas Countdown
Are you ready for Christmas? This year I "cheated" and made my Christmas cards using My Digital Studio (I will post the card at a later date). It was definitely a time saver, but I did miss stamping the cards. I made the Christmas card below using the Ornament Keepsake Stamp Set and the matching Holiday Framelits die. The card is vanilla with the top layer embossed using the snowflake embossing folder. The ornaments were stamped and then easily cut out using the matching framelits. If you make this card, just be sure to stamp the saying before embossing!

Penguin Punch
This card was a card that my stamp club ladies made. It is made from lots of punches! Isn't he cute?!?
It snowed at least 12" here yesterday, so I thought this card was fitting. We were hoping for school to be cancelled, but no such luck:( Since, I'm subbing, no school would mean a free day for me as well! I need at least a month of no school to get caught up on everything!
Enjoy your day and thanks for stopping by....

Fall
Fall may be coming back with the warmer temps we are having...woohoo! The card below was created by my friend and fellow demo, Brenda Hukriede. This card showcases the designer paper. Another card you may want to CASE if you are making sets of cards to give as gifts this Christmas.

Butterflies
I'm still here! I have so many ideas and projects that I would like to do and share with you. However, they are all in my head! I hope to get back to stamping and posting on a more regular basis. This substitute teaching and kids sports is really cutting into my stamp time!
The card below was made by my stamp clubs in August (see how far behind I am!). I love the simplicity of it.
This card may seem "out of place" for this time of year, but if you plan on giving any sets of cards as gifts this year, you may want to include this one since it is quick.
Have a wonderful day!

Blossom Punch
Can you believe it? Another post? I've been neglecting my blog! I love the card below because it is clean and simple! It uses designer paper and the blossom punch along with baker's twine.
Have a fabulous weekend! Snow is predicted for MN:( Hopefully, this card will brighten the day for any Minnesotans!

Fall
Wow! I can't believe it is November 1 today! Time is flying by. The card below was made in my stamp class a couple of months ago. I love the "old" truck and farm feel. The stamp set is called Countryside and watercolor crayons were used to color the image. The Woodgrain embossing folder was used on the Really Rust paper.

Halloween Class!
My Halloween Class will be this Friday, October 26 at 7:00 pm. Email me to sign up!
At the class, you will make 10 treat bags and 2 cards which are pictured below.
The bags are vellum which can be dry embossed using a variety of embossing folders. You choose the stamps you wish to use on the tags. Fill them with your choice of candy and you have a perfect little Halloween treat to give! (Sorry, but the candy is not supplied at the class.)
This next card is a great size when you need a smaller card. It is half the size of a regular card. What I like best about it, is that you can cut a regular size envelope in half for it! This card is a smaller version of the one created by Becky Roberts

Still Alive!
Can it really be almost a month since my last post?!?! I haven't stamped a lot this summer as we have been busy with family, kids, soccer, basketball, staining our deck & porch, landscaping, and now we are in the midst of sweet corn season. My family grows sweet corn that we sell, so the month of August we practically live at my parents and help out. Enough about what is going on...you came to see some stamping! So, enjoy the pictures below. I made these for the 4th of July for friends that invited us over. They would also be appropriate for the Olympics!
I filled 1x8 cello bags with white mini marshmallows and blue and red jelly beans. The card is made by using the scallop punch on red designer paper and white card stock and adhering the strips to a white card base. I sponged white onto a navy rectangle and then use white craft ink on the stars.

A Day Late...
I made this card last week for the color challenge at colorQ, cQc#142, but I didn't get a picture taken in time to link it to their site. Oh well...and, after I took the picture I noticed I had goofed up on on of the banners. Do you see the mistake?!?! I adapted this layout from a card I saw on Pinterest.
Stamp Set: Petite Pairs
Card Stock: Summer Smooches Designer Paper, Calypso Coral, Pool Party, Very Vanilla
Ink: Basic Gray
Accessories: Linen Thread, Brights Button, Oval Punch, Apothecary Accents Framelits
Personal Note:
This week our kids begin swimming lessons. I signed them up for the "short" course...four days, but an hour each day. My in-laws are coming tonight to stay for two days and watch the kids play soccer, I'm having a garage sale on Thursday and Friday that I'm getting ready for, and Lily starts 3 on 3 b-ball this week. It's another full week for us!

Open Sea
The stamp set Open Sea is back in the catalog...well, it was always available to purchase last year as a write-in, but since the picture wasn't in the catalog, I would forget about. So, I have pulled it out and made a couple of masculine cards. This card was based on the sketch challenge at Sketch Frenzy Friday, SFF 061512 and the colors were from the challenge at Create with Connie & Mary, CCMC206.
Stamps: Open Sea, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Card Stock: Crumb Cake, Cherry Cobbler, Summer Smooches Designer Paper
Ink: Island Indigo, Cherry Cobbler, Crumb Cake
Accessories: 2 1/2" Circle Punch, Modern Label Punch, Word Window Punch, Cherry Cobbler Baker's Twine, Stripes Embossing Folder
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Wish Big
This "card" is simple, but cute! I adhered the white card stock on a melon mambo scalloped envelope that I die cut (sorry, but his die is retired). I stamped wish big in pumpkin pie and tied a ribbon around and candled. I adhered the candle with glue dots. On an inside card panel, I stamped the saying "...blow out your candles one by one..." (I did not get a picture of it before I gave it our niece.)
For the next few days I will be busy getting ready for my open house on Thursday! I'm in the cleaning mood, so I should have a lot of goodies to sell:)
Happy Monday.

Here's another card using pennants! I told you I liked them:) I'm trying to get caught up on all the birthdays I have missed.
Have a great Sunday! Thanks for looking.

Graduation
A new post...it's about time! School is out, and I'm hoping I have more time to spend stamping and posting. My niece, Jordan, graduated from high school and this is the card I made for her.
I love the banners if you haven't noticed and be prepared to see more projects with banners:) Jordan loves zebra prints, and I had some zebra paper laying around that was perfect for her! I stamped the saying and used the framelits to die cut it out and then added a layer of melon mambo. I paper pierced around the edge of the melon mambo.

Simple Saturday
It doesn't get any easier than this card! I used designer paper from the Big Top Birthday pack that had the pennants on it and adhered it to Real Red card stock. I embossed white card stock with the Square Lattice Embossing Folder and punched clouds out using the Cupcake Punch. I stamped Happy Birthday on one cloud that was not embossed. The clouds were added to the already decorative designer paper, and the card was complete!
Enjoy your Saturday...I hope you find some time to stamp.
We are off to a soccer tournament and praying that Lily does not get hit in the hand with the soccer ball as she got her cast off yesterday!

Wedding Cake
This card was created for the wedding theme challenge at Hand Stamped Sentiments (HSSTC 117). I dry embossed vanilla card stock and used the 1 1/4" square punch to punch out the squared and adhered them to black cardstock. The scalloped circle was made using the Pennant Die. I stamped the cake from Love & Laughter on Vanilla card stock and punched out with a circle punch. Small punched flowers with pearls were added to the top of the cake and a black satin ribbon bow was adhered to the card. This sketch is an older one from MOJO Monday.
I received the new in-colors and some other new items I was able to pre-order. I'm hoping I get to play with them soon!

Razzleberry Fifth Avenue Floral
I must be on a Rich Razzleberry "kick" as the card I made yesterday also used this as the primary color! This card was made at my stamp club last week. It uses one of my favorite sets, Fifth Avenue Floral which is retiring:( The Movers and Shapers die was used to create the "cut-out". That die is retiring, too. This round of retirements, I had a lot of my favorites that are retiring. I guess I'll have to find some new faves.

Razzleberry Graduation
This card was designed for the challenge at Create with Connie & Mary (CCMC#200). The challenge was to create a celebration card. This card is for my niece's graduation. The layout for this card is from I Spy Sketches (ISSC#14). It is hard to tell from the picture, but the card base is Whisper White with a layer of Razzleberry that was embossed with the Polka Dot Embossing Folder adhered to it. The banners were made using the Petal Cone Die and the paper is Summer Smooches (you will be able to order this June 1!). I stamped the saying from the Word Play stamp set in Lucky Limeade. Framelits were used to cut it out, and I added a layer of Tempting Turquoise that is paper pierced behind it. A Tangerine Tango flower using the Blossom Bouquet Triple Layer Punch (soon to be retired) was adhered.
Stampin' Up News:
Retiring Items can be ordered through May 31. The new catalog will be out June 1!
Personal Note:
Hello Friends! I'm sorry I've been so sporadic with my postings lately. I hope to get on a more consistent basis again. Spring is busy for us with the three kids in soccer. We had a game last night, two games tonight, practice tomorrow night and a tournament this weekend. It will be fun! Lily will hopefully get her cast off Friday:)

Inspired by Nature Butterflies
This card was created for Hand Stamped Sentiments Inspiration challenge (HSS#115) found here. The card base was made using the Square Scallop Die for the Big Shot. The Wisteria Wonder Butterflies were die cut using the Butterfly Embossilit. Pearls were added the center of the butterflies. The "grass" was stamped in Pear Pizzaz (retiring color!) using the stamp from Inspired by Nature (I'm sad this set is retiring). Wisteria Wonder Baker's Twine was tied at the bottom. The sentiment is from Sincere Salutations...another one of my favorite sets that will be retiring soon.
Thanks for looking!

Summer Smooches
This card was made for a swap. It uses the Daffodil Delight Seam Binding and the Bright Blossoms stamp set from the Summer Smooches Suite. These items will be in the new catalog, but can ordered through the month of April. The thank you is from the Short and Sweet stamp set which is retiring:( The petal cone die was used once again to make the pennant for the saying.
NEW STAMP CLUBS will be starting in June!!! I will have an online option for those who don't live close. I will have more details later.
Like usual, I have not had the time to stamp as much as I would like. Here's what has been happening in our lives....
1. Monday through Thursday we have soccer with at least one of the kids if not both. And, weekend tournaments have started. I'm really hoping the weather warms up soon!
2. I have continued to sub three days a week.
3. Lily has a big project due, so this has taken some of my time and creativity on how to do it. We are using My Digital Studio for some of it!
4. And....
Lily has a broken pinky! This has taken time going to the doctor and Orthopedic Doctor. Of course it was broken on the joint/growth plate. The doctor was able to set it, and the x-rays yesterday showed it was "looking good." The doctor even said she could play soccer! We wrapped the cast and hand up in bubble wrap today to let her play, and she got hit in the hand! :( It did not hurt after a few minutes, but we have said no soccer games for a little while longer until it has more time to heal. We don't want her to have to have surgery. She loves soccer, so this is hard for her.
Thanks for stopping by....

Chevron
I love chevron and have seen it in many fabrics and decorative items, so I was excited to see the sketch challenge at Create with Connie & Mary (CCMC 198). I followed it very closely and didn't deviate much from the original sketch. The colors were from colourQchallenge #134. These are colors I would not have put together on my own! The colors are Pool Party, Pumpkin Pie, Calypso Coral, Bravo Burgundy and Very Vanilla. I used the Tasteful Trim Die for the zig-zags. The flower was punched with the Triple Layer Flower Punch (I'm sad this is retiring!). The button has Pool Party Baker's Twine tied in a bow.
Check out my post below regarding items that are retiring.
Thanks for stopping by!
Get them before they are gone! The Retired Accessories and Definitely Decorative (including Décor Elements) lists are now available and won't stay around for long, as these are limited in quantity and can sell out fast. Some are discounted from 25% up to 70% off!
I highly recommend placing your orders early as things will sell out. If you have not yet completed your collection of the 2010-2012 In Color ink pads, card stock, markers, refills, ribbon, you'll want to get them ASAP.
Things to note:
- Classic Ink Pads: will be replaced with a new exciting "firm foam pad" being introduced with the 2012-2013 annual catalog. The Firm Foam pads offer better ink coverage and, in trun, better stamped images.
- Craft Ink Pads: will no longer be offered, except in black and white
- Stampin' Stampin' Write Markers: only select markers will be available individually (will still be offered in color collection assortment packs)
- 12" x 12" Textured Card Stock: will no longer be offered
- 12" x 12" Smooth Card Stock: will only be available in select individual colors and color collections assortment packs

Graduation
This is a quick graduation card. I used the color combination from Create with Connie & Mary (CCMC 197) and the layout from Clean and Simple (FTL 186). I think I may go back and add rhinestones across the whole strip of Certainly Celery Card Stock...what do you think? I may use this layout and change the color combo and change the stars to butterflies to make some that are more "girlie."
Thanks for stopping by....this was a quick card and post as I'm off to sub!
Card Stock: Marina Mist, Certainly Celery, Concord Crush
Stamps: Word Play
Ink: Basic Black
Accessories: Star Punches, Rhinestones, Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder

Oval Punch Flower
This card uses the sketch layout from Freshly Made Sketches (FMS #30) and the color is from the photo inspiration found at Just Add Ink (JAI 113). I would not have put these colors together, but I really like the combo!
Cardstock: Sahara Sand, Calypso Coral, Pool Party
Ink: Staz On
Stamp Set: Curly Cute
Accesories: Oval Punch, Circle Punch, Pool Party Seam Binding, Adorning Accents Die and Embossing Folder, Elegant Lines and Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder, Brad from SAB
Invite
This invite was made for a friend. The umbrella was made by using a circle punch and the scallops border punch. The handle was used by punching just part from the large heart punch.
If you are in the Twin Cities area and would like to go to this event, contact Katie as she would love to meet you!

Summer Smooches for Mom
This card uses the layout from MOJO Monday #236 and was designed as a Mother's Day card for HSS #113 challenge found here. It is so nice to have a Mother's Day card done instead of making one at the last minute! This card uses items from Summer Smooches. This is a preview of items that will be in the new catalog, but can be purchased in April!
Stamp Set: Bright Blossoms
Cardstock: Whisper White, Rich Razzleberry, Summer Smooches Designer Paper
Ink: Rich Razzleberry, Lucky Limeade
Accessories: Daffodil Delight Seam Binding, circle & scallop punch, button

Felt Flowers
This card was created for the color challenge at Just Add Ink #112 and the sketch challenge at SQSC #33. The card base is crumb cake, and it is sponged with Very Vanilla ink. The pink pirouette and chocolate chip felt flowers are retired. I added a pearl to the middle of each flower. Chantilly Crochet Trim was tied in a bow at the top of the card.
Thanks for stopping by my blog!
