Are you ready for some cool new products? Edgelits and Framelits!!! Look at the cut on the edge of the card below to see the effect of using an edgelit. Two edgelits titled, Adorning Accents, will be available in the Occassions mini catalog. They are metal dies used with the Big Shot. After using the edgelit, I embossed it using the coordinating Adorning Accents embossing folder. Another new accessory is framelits. I used the Labels Collection Framelits around the cake. Framelits are metal dies used with the Big Shot. They are open in the middle, so the image can be stamped and then die cut.

Calypso Coral/MOJO 221
This card was created using the sketch from MOJO 221 found here. This card uses some more new items. The dress was stamped using the Love & Laughter stamp set and then cut out. I added some Calypso Coral ruffled ribbon on the bottom of the dress and one pearl at the top of the dress. I used the square die cut for the card base. The designer paper and brad are from the sale-a-bration catalog. Are you ready for sale-a-bration?!? It begins January 24.
Christmas Wrap-up
Below are pictures of stamped Christmas cards we received this year. It is so much fun to get handstamped cards! I also got one card that was made using My Digital Studio. It turned out great. I did not picture it since it has pictures of my friend's family on it, and I didn't ask permission to share it.

Have you started taking your Christmas decorations down? We still have one more Christmas to go with my family before Christmas will be officially done for us. This post, however, should be the last of Christmas for awhile. I will have some sneak peeks for you soon. I'm in a swap, so my new stamps got inked up!

Sneak Peek and Challenge
I had some time to stamp for fun. I made this card after seeing the colorQ Challenge 117 found here and used the layout from Stamping 411, Sketch Challenge #235 (SSC 235) found here. The challenge was to use black, white and one other color. The card uses designer paper from the Twitterpated pack and the cake was stamped using the set Love & Laughter. Both of these are in the Occasions Mini Catalog that starts January 4.
Thanks for stopping by.

Scraps
Every time I have a class, I cut extra for me to make up cards. Well, I now have multiple boxes of card stock cut of cards and projects that I have cut for, but I have not finished. The card below was made from some of the pieces found in one my boxes. I had the card stock embossed and the flower die-cut. I just had to add the button and stamped a greeting inside. It took just a few minutes, and I wonder why I didn't do this earlier!
The kids are on break this week, so there may be few posts this week if any at all.

Bad News for the Stocking Punch...
Stampin' Up! has announced that they will not carry the Stocking Punch in any upcoming catalogs as it will be discontinued. Orders will be filled until supply runs out. So, if you have been waiting to get this punch, I wouldn't wait much longer. The project below uses the stocking punch to make a reindeer! I put licorice in the small cello bags and add the reindeer for the topper. The antlers are made using the snowflake punch. If I'm not using the Big Shot, I'm using punches!
Merry Christmas Eve!

Christmas Gifts Day 2
This is what I made for the support staff and teachers that teach specials (Phy Ed, Art, Music, etc.) to my children. They are made using the Pillow Box die for the Big Shot. I put a 1" strip of black on the front and then punched a buckle out of the silver glimmer card stock. Buttons were added with a circle punch. I put candy in each one. The "gift" was nothing big, but I hope they know they are appreciated. I made 16 of these last night!
Below is another idea for this. Cut off the flaps and it can be used to hold silverware for your Christmas dinner. Once again, I was inspired by Heather Summers.
Santa came last night to our house! And, the kids will open their presents from Steve and I tonight. The kids are so excited as you can imagine.

Christmas Gifts
First, I apologize for those of you who have checked my blog the past few days and there has not been any blog posts:( Obviously, my weekend plans were not executed! It has been a little crazy and stressful around here...just ask my family. They haven't been stressed, but they are the recipients of my craziness! The photos today are what I made for the classroom teachers for Christmas. They are 3x3 cards. I used Crumb Cake card stock and punched out snowflakes and then cut designer paper for behind the snowflake. I embossed the thank you or Merry Christmas and stamped the snowflakes using white craft ink. A rhinestone in the middle of the snowflake completed the card. I made 20 for each teacher (so 80 total!), put them in the Kraft box that is in the SU! mini and tied a bow on the box. I have heard comments from two teachers and so far the reviews are good. My thought was they could use the thank you cards for gifts they received from their kiddos. In their gift I also included a variety of six stamped cards.
Tomorrow I will show you what I made for the support staff and specialists. Thanks for stopping by! I hope you are crossing things off of your "to-do" list and can enjoy this season.
**These cards were inspired by Heather Summers.

Snow Much Fun!
My kids are still hoping they will have some "snow" fun. It's hard to believe that we do not have snow! This card was made at least three years ago by my friend, Kris, from Eau Claire. I have kept it as I love it and have wanted to make more. Well, I haven't made any *yet*. Everyone that has seen this card has liked it as well, so I thought I would post it for all to see.
I have more Christmas things to show you, so I hope I can get them posted soon. The agenda for this weekend is editing work, finish our Christmas cards, finish making teacher gifts, and wrap presents. I really hope to get some fun stamping time and blogging done as well.
Thanks for stopping.

Christmas Lodge
This card uses the stamp set, Christmas Lodge and the Frostwood Lodge designer paper. Both are from the Holiday Mini. This is a simple card, and what I like the most about it is the fold. I have made z-card folds before, but they have always been on the side and not at the bottom.

The Stockings Were Hung....
This card was a swap card I made. The cardstock I used was Early Espresso, Cherry Cobbler and Crumb Cake. The designer paper is Frostwood Lodge that is in the Holiday Mini. I ran it through the Big Shot using the Tasteful Trim die. The scallop circle was cut from the Pennant Die. I punched the stocking out, adhered the white pieces and than ran it through the Big Shot with the Snow Burst Embossing folder. A mini jingle bell from the Holiday Mini was added to the stocking.

Six!
I'm sorry that I have been MIA lately. I have had more editing work this week and have not had time to stamp or post:( My Christmas cards have still not been started, but I have created the design. Today I received some pre-order items from the upcoming mini-catalog, and I can't wait to play.
This cutie below is our youngest, Carter. He turned 6 on November 18th. I made a pop-up card for him, and I knew that he would love it! He has been around stamping his whole life, so he appreciates my work. When he opened the card, he said, "Wow, this is cool! How did you make it?" This is also the kid that told me one of his favorite things in Kindergarten was crafts:) Don't worry, though, he would be rather be outside playing, tackling or on the farm riding 4-wheeler, exploring the pasture where he can find the most mud, and hunting. So, onto the card.....
The outside is simple with designer paper and punches.
This is the inside of the card. As it is opens, the "6" pops up. I made a box out of designer paper using the Stampin' Score, so it folds down when the card is closed. Think of all the objects that could be pop up when the card is open. I may have to try out some other images, but this works great for b-day cards.
Thanks for stopping by. I hope it isn't so long before I post again!

Envelope Card #2
Here is the "envelope" Christmas card. This was made by Brenda Hukriede. I love how she hung the stockings.

Envelope Card
Can you believe that it is already December?!?! How are you doing with your Christmas shopping? I have many ideas on things I would like to make, but we'll see how much I actually complete!
This card was made at my stamp club this past spring. To make this, seal an envelope and then use the scallop border punch on one of the short ends. Decorate the envelope with pattern paper and ribbon. I used the antique tags and put my monogram on it. The Presto Patterns designer paper used is now retired, but you could use any designer paper. For the inside, the card is postcard-style as it doesn't open. These are easy to make, but I like it that they are different from a "typical" card. Check back tomorrow to see this style used to make a Christmas card.
Thanks for stopping by:)
