Teacher Gifts - Journal Jar

The summer has had a busy start! I'll be posting a couple of gifts I made for teachers the next couple of days. The first one is an idea that I got from Nichole Heady. It is a journal jar with journal prompts and a matching journal. The journal questions are all related to the teaching profession....why they chose teaching as a major, how has their teaching style changed over time, where did they go to college, etc. I ended up making 3 of these. The first one was for my son's Kindergarten teacher which I did not take a picture of before I gave it, the second was for my daughter's first grade teacher and I made one for a friend to give to her son's teacher. It is a unique gift and I hope it will be memorable for the teacher's and that they enjoy reflecting on their profession. We have been SO blessed with INSPIRATIONAL teachers for our children.
With encouragement from a friend, I'm in the process of making a journal jar for kids. I will post pictures when I get any done!

I loved my reflection jar and journal Kari! I haven't sat down to reflect on my thoughts on teaching for a long time. It was good for me to think about my views and how they have changed after 33 years.
I am the lucky one to have had the good fortune to work with you and your wonderful kids!
Thanks for everything!
